Goodbye!!

NO!! Utter not those words to me;
She screeched as she barged out the room
Days on end, he would wait across her windows
To get a glimpse of her sun-kissed face
Red roses, white tulips, little notes of torrential love
Adorned her doorstep, waiting to be picked
She restrained herself, though melt it did her craving heart
Phlegmatic and undemonstrative she portrayed to him
Foresee she could the storm, if she did embrace his love
But unwavering he remained, in his endeavours
To win the love of his life.
Moved by his ceaseless appeals, she yielded
Holding his hand, she walked away into the distant one day
Springs and autumns, bazillions together they saw
Alas today as the sun sets, he stands all packed
Bidding Goodbye, impassive and aloof….
But hadn’t they promised to each other
To “Never Say Goodbye”!!
