My Father
This is small Tribute I gifted my father on his 80th Birthday this year!! A meek, lean, an introvert of a person, my father Though not a man of words in speech His pen spoke a zillion thoughts!! As a father, never heard a raise of his tone Except tiny clobbers when we siblings fought Soon followed by his tender hands, soothing us. Heavy weights of shopping bags, distances he would carry and walk When owning a car was a luxury task; But No was never an answer, for anything we ask. A man so pious, and righteous in deeds, Prayers, forgets he never, no matter what. A metaphor of calm and composure, my dad Never have we heard him complain or grumble. Without the blink of any eye, give away he would, To anyone for anything they ask, does not matter; Cause family and friends he held close to his heart!! Well known for his strength with paper and pen Dad!! You are my reason, Today I am able to pen!!
