The Unfinished Story

[This poem is dedicated to Nandu Mahadeva from Kerala, a Cancer fighter who tried to spread positivity with a smile to innumerous cancer patients] Survivor   o f a sporadic disease; He liked to call himself a fighter!! Panic and fear had overwhelmed him, At the revelation of his medical reports A pestilence, a cancer, odd and seldom; Even the remedial science bowed down to. Assurances and affirmations by the Angels in white coats, Rest they will not, till he emerges a winner. Overcoming this shock, he ascended in valour Dedicated his life he did, to bring positivism to all those, Whose lives’ burning candles were dimming out!! This monster of a disease, snatched away his leg, Slowly engulfing in him, like a creeper wild. Yet, valiant he stood upright with a buoyant smile And be the catalyst of Faith and Hope, To all the passengers of the sinking boats. But Alas!! Fate did not stand by him As he bid adieu to the world, this youth With no goodbyes said, just a Story Unfinished!!

Euphoria

When my muscles tires from the daily chores, When moments of anxiety hip-hops my mind, Days my heart bleeds out tears Music secours me to Euphoria!! When excitement overwhelms me, Being in love overpowers me, Youth awakens in me Music cruises me to Euphoria!! Just pure music lightens my heart, In Euphoria, I dance Popping or Contemporary, Ballroom or Jazz, I care not Like a butterfly, I flutter from chore to chore Chopping the veggies to doing the dishes, Drying the clothes to dusting the house, Music pumps me with energy high. Long drives with music aloud, Concerts with euphonic music Or musical shows I anchor on stage Unable I am to stop my dancing feet In music I am enticed to Euphoric Bliss!!

The Ecstasy of Solitude

Often Loneliness or Solitude is considered a synonym to pain, fear and unhappiness. But why…. it makes you wonder!! Give it a different perspective and you see people actually enjoy solitude, the time they get to spend with themselves away from the cacophony of the daily life, the time to do what they want to do, watch a movie of their choice and not concede to another’s like. I am quite assured that many out there consider solitude a bliss. Very often you get to see members of a family tend to isolate themselves into their corner of solitude even in a house full of people. The likes of, one wanting to watch a comedy to another wanting to watch a Talk show to someone wanting to read a good book. It is however paradoxical that people engage in unenticing conversation on the social media platform in their so called solitude time. So is it all about not wanting to talk to a human being in person? In today’s era, with salutations to high-end technology and innumerable social media platfo
