The alarm was shrieking right into my ears. With half open eyes, reached out to the side table and shut the alarm off. It was 8 o’clock and I wanted to sleep on for some more time. But all the same, I yearned to be with my morning companion. It’s been years since we have been besties and could not even think of starting my day without us meeting. A companion so warm and understanding, an entity who energizes me and also calms me down if at my worst. Every morning this dusky beauty waits for me to pick her up. Holding each other’s hands we stand together in the balcony of my home feeling the breeze on us and watching the hustle bustle of the daily life or we just slouch back on the sofa scrolling through our mobiles to catch up on the latest.
