God's own country
As the coconut trees stand tall, beating its long leaves against the cool afternoon breeze;
As the luscious green grass dance to the tunes of the cool afternoon breeze;
As the long plantation trees sway from side to side as if to say, come join me in this dance;
There is a serene silence surrounding this beautiful moment, taking you away into another world;
A World embraced in peace and filled with colored blooming flowers;
Little birds bickering sweet nothings into them;
When suddenly you are awakened with droplets of cold water falling on your feet;
The sky pours out, bringing with its shower, the smell of fresh wet mud.
The crows perched atop the coconut trees, cawing at each other;
Little Mynahs hurrying to their nests, calling out to their little ones as if to say
Its raining and time for bed
The squirrels hoping in and out of the distant lonely house;
seems to be playing hide and seek with each other
Suddenly out of nowhere swoons in two bright colored parrots,
landing on the gigantic mango tree;
gurgling to each other non stop, the whole day's chores
Oh mother of nature, we owe you this God's own country!!
