Born in the month of June, I am a typical Gemini as I behold the prominent character of getting bored fast. I believe in change, vibrancy and color in what I do. and more typically so of a Geminian, I am very imaginative to the extend that I am quite assured that my car, my home furniture, my pair of bedroom slippers all have a heart and they feel like any of us.

And if such thoughts are voiced, I am very often made to feel like a lunatic which I guess is quite justified in the normal norm of life. So me being a Paradigmatic Gemini, it is but obvious that my thoughts also flutter and never stagnant. And when I pick my pen to write it could be poems flowing out, thoughts pouring out or anything that fits my mood. This is what gave birth to my blog "Beena's Thoughtpourri"

Like they say:

"To write means more than putting pretty words on a page;
The act of writing is to share; A part of your soul with the world"

    Beena...best wishes to you on this new initiative and decision to pen and express your thoughts and bring out a smile in the face of others. We are in that era of life today wherein we have all forgotten to smile and with technology taking over , you hardly see people smiling or laughing out loud and from the heart. I am confident the viewers and readers would find this medium of communication interesting and they too would have a platform now to express their views and share their individual feelungs . This would definitely help the budding youngsters, friends and elders who go through tremendous stress everyday and find solace to regain and recoup thru difficult times. Thank You and Good luck . When I decided to write this Blog, I had no clue whatsoever on how to go about it. The Little Prince who stole our Heart

We landed in the beautiful God's Own Country - Kerala, on Saturday in July 2011. As per the well laid out schedule for our vacation, first on our agenda was to meet Prince, a little five year old from the SOS Village in the small town of Trichur. SOS Village established in 1983 by some kind souls, is a home for approximately 200 orphaned children of all ages. Let me re-emphasize....it is not an orphanage in the conventional outlook, it is a HOME for those children in the literal sense. The "SOS Village" true to its name is a village which accommodates around 15 to 20 individual houses. Each house is a Home to 15 orphaned children ranging from a tender age of 5 to 16 years. Each Home has an Amma (Mother) who has dedicated her life to mothering these children. She takes care of them, cooks with them, teaches them to keep a clean home, screams at them, laughs with them as they all lovingly call out to their Amma. STAY HOME - On a lighter note

With Corona - the Pandemic having created a frightening and paralyzing environment, the whole world chanting the mantra "STAY HOME", I thought of staying home and penning down something on a lighter note essentially for a few moments of distraction. When celebrities around the world are utilizing the Stay Home time due to the engulfing Corona Virus, rejuvenating their hidden or more appropriate to say forgotten talents like artwork, playing the guitar or even practicing yoga and much more; I decided to re-visit my no-talent zone of Chapathi Making ( Round Indian wheat bread). I am sure there are a lot of raised eyebrows specially from my Asian viewership, chapathi being one of the staple diets in any Indian household, it should come but natural to any born in an Indian household.
